Media Literacy
The education of the students begins with the knowledge of the teacher. In light of this, rather than simply outlining a course curriculum for use in the classroom, I have created a brief background study of a specific topic (blogs) that can be applied to existing courses in a variety of ways. It is my aim to aid the educators first so that they can teach with and about the tools of media. There are suggested activities included in the blogging applied section below for teacher use; these also can be modified to fit classroom topics and aid students in discovering blogs. Once comfortable with blogs, the integration ideas based on Alaska standards may be useful for classroom application.blogging applied
